thugl1fe408 Another strong album by a band that just keeps getting better. I mean, who name checks the show Luther in the middle of a song? This band does. Every song on here is fantastic.

Ballast 04:09
Johnny got laid off he should have been paid off You know he was a hell of a man He's hitting the skids but he's doing the best that he can Once he went and got 'em but now he's on the bottom Feeling like he's under attack Spends all his time now trying to find his way back You know it won't come easy You know it won't come fast Hold on to the ballast until these winds have passed Harry was a holdout and then he took the boat out A little too far from the shore Had all he could handle but still he was looking for more Leaned into the throttle, sipping from a bottle Sunlight was fading to black Running out of fuel but he knew there was no turning back You know it won't come easy You know it won't come fast Hold on to the ballast until these winds have passed

Slow It Down 04:02
Slow it down got to get back to solid ground Can't keep up this racing round Got to got to, slow it down Whatchoo gonna tell me now, i don’t aready know You keep spinning round & round & you got no better place to go While you're racing up and down I'm going to make you see You might get ahead of yourself but you won't get ahead of me Slow it down got to get back to solid ground Can't keep up this racing round Got to got to, slow it down You're singing that sad sad song, And no one seems to care It's classic storybook I'm the tortoise, you are the hare While you're racing up and down, I'm going to make you see You might get ahead of yourself but you won't get ahead of me Slow it down got to get back to solid ground Can't keep up this racing round Got to got to, slow it down

So Long 04:24
You, you've been stuck inside, nowhere to go then told to hide away. You didn't mind for a moment but then the moment just lasted so long. It lasted so long Now, a crack in the door, here comes the sun, you want so much more. you didn't mind for a moment but then the moment just lasted so long. It lasted so long Oh, a new crack in the door, Can you trust the sun, You’ve been here before. you didn't mind for a moment but then the moment just lasted so long. It lasted so long It lasted so long It lasted so long And its still going on

Over It 03:18
You say you want to give it up then try pack it in pack it up, goodbye you never seem to have enough do you and everyone can see right through Get over it Get over it The sand is slipping through the hourglass you're going to do it better make it fast You never seem to have enough do you and everyone can see right through Get over it Get over it Camera pointing at yourself again, On and on and there seems no end, You only think about yourself don't you, And everyone can see right through Get over it Get over it

RVA Blues 05:35
You can tell it's springtime when the redbud blooms And from a window facing east the sunlight floods the room Mmm-hmm, gonna get on down When the moon is full and the sun is in the sky And the river is roaring and the water's running high Mmm-hmm, gonna get on down Hard times step back from my door Gonna head down to the river while the water’s running high And watch it roar Hard times step back from my door You know Luther's on, Luther's on the big TV That's some serious scary serial killer mystery Mmm-hmm, gonna get on down Well I got my hat on, you got your birdie You got your helmet, and it's still early Yeah, gonna get on down So hard times step back from my door Gonna head down to the river while the water’s running high And watch it roar Hard times get back from my door Yeah, hard times step back from my door Gonna head down to the river while the water’s running high And watch it roar Hard times step back from my door So hard times step back from my door Gonna head down to the river while the water’s running high And watch it roar Hard times step back from my door

Be Around 03:22
If I told you now, There could be no coming back from this would you fold up and walk out or would you double down Cuz I know you see trouble most everywhere you turn, just keep turning till you turn around. I know you have almost made it I can see that you’re finally there and I’ll be around No time for second guessing, Too late for course correcting this, You're headed for a showdown. I know you have almost made it I can see that you’re finally there and I’ll be around I know you have almost made it I can see that you’re finally there I know you have almost made it and I’ll be around

Ordinary people, extraordinary times Do you fix a problem or just criticize Watch your step real closely To keep from stepping in the same old holes, cause everybody knows, that's not the way you win I've been going to town, while everybody else was messing around, you know been up, I've been down, i don't stop til I get it. I've been around the block while everybody else was punching the clock, you know been down, I've been on top I don't stop till I get it. I know you've got your problems, Demons from your past And every time you think you solved them It don't seem to last. Watch your step real closely To keep from stepping in The same old holes, cause everybody knows, you're doing it again I've been going to town, while everybody else was messing around, you know been up, I've been down, i don't stop til I get it. I've been around the block while everybody else was punching the clock, you know been down, I've been on top I won't stop till I get it. And if you thought that I would disappear. I have the answer you can sit right down, stay right here. And even when your idle thoughts Are all but dead and gone, I will rise and I will carry on (carry on) II've been going to town, while everybody else was messing around, you know been up, I've been down, i won't stop til I get it. I've been around the block while everybody else was punching the clock, you know been down, I've been on top I won't stop till I get it.

Sometimes 04:55
Well after all your friends have driven home, and all those tail lights fade to stars. I sit and wonder what became of you I still wonder where you are. There are those nights that end before they start, some of the days go by so fast. I still remember all those good, good times, but some memories can break like glass. and we all still need someone sometimes yes we all still need someone sometimes oh how I wish you would have said a word, or even made a single call. Because we don't know how tall we have become until we start to fall. So if you're all alone out late at night, you know you can still call my name. And if I find myself out in the dark, I will try to do the same. because we all still need someone sometimes. yes we all still need someone sometimes Cuz we all still need someone sometimes yes we all still need someone sometimes Cuz we all still need (if you want it and if you need) someone sometimes (we can find a way, yes we can start again) yes we all still need (we can work it out, oh yeah) someone sometimes (yes we can, yes we can my friend) So if you're all alone out late at night, you know you can still call my name. And if I find myself out in the dark, I will try to do the same.

There's something coming, yes it's coming up, you could be next in line for this but You can't believe just everything you see Winds are shifting, tides are turning People talking, tell me are your ears burning? But they're still smiling on TV Same sun up in the sky, same rain falls from the clouds, same wind upon my face, but everything is different now. The earth is shifting, right beneath your feet. You can't stand it then you should take a seat. There's only so much bending we can take. It's out of balance, the tipping of the scales, Now this whole damn thing is coming off the rails. Another straw & this camel's back could break. Same sun up in the sky, same rain falls from the clouds, same wind upon my face, but everything is different now. Same sun up in the sky, same rain falls from the clouds, same wind upon my face, but everything is different now.

about

This is Moossa's 6th self-produced studio album.
